Seven Fifty Motor Club book

In the histories of the great racing teams of British motor sport, so often you’ll find it was the Seven-Fifty Motor Club where the key players cut their teeth.

Almost everyone began here; Colin Chapman and Lotus, Eric Broadley and Lola, Chevron, the Costin brothers and so many more.

As editor of the club’s Bulletin the author is better informed than most and does a good job of conveying the organisation’s resourcefulness and enthusiasm.

Each year is given a general summary, while box-outs highlight personalities cars and events.

There are plenty of good photographs from all eras – be prepared for some unfeasibly strange machines.

Still, having read its 220-odd pages, you’ll see why God Save the Queen plays at so many podium ceremonies.
