About the Isle of Skye…
Situated off the north west coast of Scotland, Skye is the second
largest island in the UK. Skye’s landscapes are many and varied,
from the majestic Cuillin mountain range and the unique
Trotternish Ridge to spectacular waterfalls and secluded sandy
bays. Its wildlife isn’t bad either – golden eagles, whales,
dolphins, porpoises, deer, otter, seals… the list is almost
endless. It’s easy to see why it’s one of our most popular
photographic destinations!
About Portraits of a Land founder Marcus McAdam…
Marcus started his professional career after winning PP’s
Photographer of the Year competition (turn to page 86 for
details). Since then he hasn’t looked back. Marcus has travelled
to over 50 countries on photographic assignments for the likes
of Microsoft and Panasonic, and also works with companies such
as English Heritage and Visit Britain.
